I liked the old hulk alot when it first came out, but after watching the new one I could see what people mean by the second one being bad. I think they over did his "powers" in the first one. I mean cmon he would be in new york for example, jump, then end up in china. The first one was sorta retarded tbh.
Also I compare the hulks like this.
03 Hulk- a giant marshmellow. 08 Hulk- A Muscular body builder that dont overeact with his powers compared to his size =p.

Ang Lee's was great film. The new movie was crap splattered on a wall.
The first one had: complex characters, engaging story, good dialogue, good actors, and magnificant art direction.
The second lack in everything, save Ed Norton (Will Hurt tried hard), unfortunately there was Liv Tyler. Honestly a potted plant as Betty Ross would have been an improvement.

Because fuckdumb, in the comics, history and facts are established, and have been for years. When an asshole film maker or writer doesn't understand that, they make shitty comic movies, like Superman Returns, Spiderman3, Hulk, The Punisher, Elektra, Ghost Rider, all X-Men movies, Burton & Schumacher's Batman movies, Catwoman, and The Fantastic Four.
The exceptions are Spiderman, Sin City, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, The Dark Night, Iron Man, 300, Incredible Hulk and V for Vendetta.

but the pace and flow of a 2 hour film is not the same as that of a comic book. Some things simply do not work on the big screen the way they do in a comic. For example, EVERY single comic book movie would have characters narrating every single scene or action if it were a direct translation. Different mediums, different formats.

it was amazing it made more sense, took after the comics, and the "Incredible Hulk" TV series from the 70s. the 2003 one was good but didnt make as much sense and TThe Hulk looked too...much like a baby or watever you would call it. The new one look much better and made much more sense.
