I heard, or thought I heard(in passing) that the US Supreme court had ruled that food producers in the US do NOT have to indicate if a product contains GM foodstuffs. In other words they dont have to tell you. Does anyone know if this story is true? Any reference?
GM is banned in the UK but I am sure that even now the Agri monsters like Monsanto are trying to find legal ways to force their products in, despite...despite..widespread opposition from ordinary Britons. Please comment on this..

I just remember when they had the national vote on whether or not to legalise GM crops in Britain, and when it was massively rejected the government were surprised and tried to do it again. 'keep voting until we get the result we want' mindset. Its like you can't trust anyone. Foot and mouth was spread because big companies were trying to pass of recycled cows and sheep as a food supplement going on about its "mineral and vitamin qualities" Lucky for me the farmers in my area all said No.

Well i know a major problem now is that regular crops are being crossed with GM crops whose pollen is wind touched. Nothing illegal, nothing they can really do, but the farmer is out of his organic label.
lol well i won't disagree that most brits would appear more restrained than the average American we arn't exactly pushovers. However once something is done we get over it pretty quickly-Blair got three terms, despite the Iraq War.
